My Story
I was married to a depressed and
ultimately abusive wife for 18 years, and while my challenges have not been as
difficult as those that some face, I have had my share. Although I endured a
slow burn of anger and criticism for many years, my wife eventually erupted into
alcohol-driven rages; not physical, but just as brutal; carefully aimed verbal
attacks delivered with frightening hatred and vehemence; designed to rip at
every doubt, every weakness in me that she knew, and many that simply did not
exist.
My story is the landscape in which I forged my healing path to safety and
emotional wholeness.
